April 2013 marks the release of Yarnmaker's and Director Jason Kempnich's third short film, Cough.
Set in the near future, in a time when simple liberties have been traded for the survival of the human species, Cough tells the story of one man's wake-up call. It stars Robert Coleby (Heartbeat, The Marine) and Christopher Sommers (Unfinished Sky, The Horseman), with Natalie Trent and Dan Eady.
With the completion of the official website and the film's trailer, Cough (previously titled The Carrier) is ready to take on the film festival circuit. The film's first official stop will be the international short film market Short Film Corner at Festival de Cannes in May. The market will offer an introduction to interested film festivals and potential broadcast partners, without impacting the film's premiere status.
Director Jason Kempnich would like to thank and congratulate the cast and crew for their tireless hard work, their belief in the project, and the resulting quality of their work. Without their help and dedication, Cough quite literally would not have been possible. A private screening was held for cast and crew to celebrate the completion of the film on the 18th March 2013, on the giant old cinemascope screen at the Hawthorne Cinema, Queensland, Australia.
