Unrepentant, a 15 minute short film from Yarnmaker, has received a “Gold” award for Short Films at the Oregon Film Festival, and will be nominated for two awards at the 8th Annual Wild Rose Independent Film Festival when it screens on Thursday 4th of November 2010 in Iowa, USA.
The Gold from the Oregon Film Festival represents Unrepentant’s first award.
The nominations for the Wild Rose Independent Film Festival are for "Best Foreign Film" and "Best Sound", an exciting development for the Unrepentant team, as this represents our first craft nomination.
The Wild Rose Independent Film Festival is a celebration of the vast, diverse, bizarre, hilarious, beautiful cinema art being created by independent moviemakers outside the mainstream. It is one of the fastest growing film festivals in the Midwest, running from 4 - 7 November 2010.
Unrepentant raises the ethical question of sex offenders who have served their incarceration time, but psychologically are highly likely to re-offend. It is a difficult subject with no easy answers.
